On the first day of the winter school holidays, children are invited to the University of Tartu Botanical Garden for a Nature Day to discover the diverse world of seeds.
On the school holiday Nature Day, with the children, we will play with plant seeds, learn about the tropical plants and their seeds in the Botanical Garden's greenhouse and participate in an engaging search game with our tutors, botanist Margit Hirv and gardener Kristine Fenske. Each child can sow seeds and make their fun grass head to take home.
The school holiday Nature Day in the Botanical Garden's classroom and greenhouse for children aged 7-14 takes place on Monday 27 February from 11-14. Nature Day is in Estonian.
The Nature Day fee is €6 per child. Please register in advance by calling 737 6180 or by writing to botaed@ut.ee. Gathering and payment will occur from 10.30 at the Botanical Garden cash desk on the same day.
The event is supported by the SA Environmental Investment Centre.
