A botanical garden-themed painting exhibition “Botanical Garden. Seasons” is open in the study room of the Botanical Garden of the University of Tartu. The exhibition is by painter Veronika Bondarenko and is open until February 24.
The exhibition features about twenty paintings on the botanical garden of the University of Tartu, which show the beauty, charm and colour of the botanical garden. “I love the botanical garden in every season: in the fresh greenery of spring, in the bright and lush tones of summer, in the golden robe of autumn and in the crisp white purity of winter,” says the artist. “In the paintings exhibited at this exhibition, I have conveyed my love for this garden, flowers and nature,” she adds.
The exhibition is by painter Veronika Bondarenko, who has been painting for as long as she can remember. “My first creative experiments date back to my childhood, when I would paint over the wallpapers next to my bed and the faces of my own dolls,” the artist recalls.
Veronika Bondarenko graduated from the T. G. Shevchenko State Art School in Kiev in 2000. In 2005, she graduated as an artist-designer from the Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture. Her works can be found in private collections, restaurants, and exhibitions.
The exhibition “Botanical Garden. Seasons” is open in the study room of the Botanical Garden of the University of Tartu from January 10 to February 24. The exhibition can be visited during the greenhouse opening hours with a greenhouse ticket.
