From Wednesday 11 January, the Botanic Garden will host an exhibition that opens up a world that is invisible to our eyes.

Macro and close-up shots can be viewed at the photo exhibition "The world imperceptible at first glance". The photographs are the work of the members of Viljandi Photographers group (Viljandi Fotoring) - the photos are taken from nature, and shots have also been taken in the University of Tartu Botanical Garden. In the exhibition, you can see what you don't see every day and what is not noticeable on a daily basis.

At Viljandi Photographers group, we aim to develop our members' photographic skills and knowledge through hands-on activities, and create an outlet for exhibiting members' works. Most of the participants in the exhibition have been members of our photographers group for several years. The title of the exhibition is inspired by the previous exhibition with the same title six years ago - many of the featured authors have changed compared to the previous one.

Exhibition curator Meelis Heli

The exhibition will feature works by Eeva Vitsut, Jane Vettik, Riina Ani, Kati Kukk, Kadri Härm, Külli Järvis, Tiina Rannaäär, Inga Teder, Ingrid Tiitre, Martin Nagel and Meelis Heli.

The photo exhibition "The world imperceptible at first glance" is open from 11 January to 8 February. You can visit the exhibition with a ticket to the Botanical Garden.
